Okay so I've had time to calm down and think of ways to make eunseong eat dirt and so now to the positives of this episode which was completely overshadowed by those awful 15 minutes.

- baekhong, how far they've come. To me this was one of their strongest episodes, one because it was truly the most vulnerable we had seen of them together and that scene outside the hospital and then outside the church oof??? The way I could feel the pain, the way I could understand where each was coming from and the way it just hurt because you want only good for them, most importantly though it was the way they were finally communicating with each other and knew why the other was behaving the way that were and were making active efforts to be there for each other irrespective of what they felt.

- at first I had whiplash at how they kept going from tears to just casually hanging out with each other, but it just made so much sense? Like here they are, not walking away but are dealing with the pain together, hyunwoo still trying to convince her but also just being there for her, and haein not wanting to budge but also entertaining hyunwoo's antiques because this is how they work through things, they cry, but they still stay by each other, they try to understand, the effort is all.

- hyunwoo's reaction after the accident deserves special mention but lol what even was that accident, nothing but shock factor and the way they hired that one white dude to just casually be like oh my god lemme call an ambulance and then disappear (bad bad writing) but I couldnt care about any of that because did you see the way kim soo hyun acted his heart out that scene????? Did you see the shortness of breath, the on the verge of a panic attack, the despair then the relief in his eyes, the crying, the way he held her?? The way I could feel every emotion and personally while I think the accident itself was stupid I found it poignant that haein changed her mind when she saw hyunwoo like this and we all know it's not because of the "ooh he looks so sad some lady will come hug him when he's crying after I die" but because haein herself has never seen hyunwoo like this, she saw entirely how destroyed he looked and felt when he thought she died and that hurt her more than anything and oof I just love these two, it's the way they just love each other so much and just want the other to be happy, in this moment haein said I'd hate to forget you but I'd hate it more if my death destroyed you and I think that speaks volumes.

- every other baekhong scene was gold lol, in the hospital, them just being domestic and just talking, the words they say before haein goes in for surgery (poorly written surgery, poorly written illness), the way hyunwoo just collapses once she's in - (and that's it I can't talk about the last 15 minutes lol even though there's a lot of baekhong glory there too).

- special mention for aunt beomja who really is a little ray of sunshine and for soocheol and his little family (I have issues with their bad qualities just being disregarded by this writer but that's for a different post).

Anyway, the ep is flawed just like every ep has been, it's clear the writer has no idea how to navigate complex plot lines and really should have just stuck to baekhong, because that's truly been worth the watch and has been very well written.

Omg I wanted to go into your inbox to say the exact same thing as your last anon too. People are acting like Hyunwoo doesn’t love Haein at all when he does (and acting like he need to love her unconditionally or else he’s the worst person on earth despite her not being emotionally available when their marriage were going through a tight spot and having issue). I feel like he’s the one consistently reaching out to her when things happen despite his whole plan for inheritance and facade of not caring. (I also feel like if the gender were flipped a lot of people would be rooting for Hyunwoo to get that divorce and get out at the beginning too).

like sawry but marriage is not a fairytale 24x7 it's like a river that ebbs and flows; sometimes it's going to be really rough and people are going to act very human. both haein and hyunwoo are grounded in human emotions and love is one thing but understanding is another. also we really need to factor in that hyunwoo has been treated like a butler from haein's fam for like 3 years his mental health is in hell and that's why even tho people find his friend annoying, i get him! if my friend was going through that i too would be rooting for his divorce.

what i find sooooo good about QOT tho is it is forcing us to rethink gender norms and societal roles in fiction - what does it mean when the FL has more social power than the ML and her family runs that way as well? what does it mean when the ML craves attention and the FL cannot give that? how intriguing! sad that a lot of people aren't seeing the sexiness of it all

Lets see, yep I just returned and recovered my account. Its been like years already but glad I can access my account.

Anyways, I’m not here to talk about that lets just proceed with this bomb that has been dropped before new year’s day. Its everyone’s all time favorite. I’ve decided to change my approach with the reviews anyways. 

Well my reviews are both from Manhwa/Webtoon and Novel Version. At first I started reading the novel because the Webtoon version chapter released that time was only 40+ chapters. Thinking about it, its like 4 or so years ago. 

I won’t separate the two as the Webtoon version as well as Novel version are almost the same just the fact that I struggled to understand the translated novel that I’ve read. 

Story wise: So lets proceed with the story proper. The Character was more like started from the lowest of the lowest. As a reader, I love reading this type of story the main character started from the lowest then chance appeared and he becomed the greatest. Well you can include the fact that the MC, Sung Jinwoo shows like a cute boy that becomes, Darn please take my number oppa! Like that vibe or something. 

The fact that the story progress in an impressive rate really gives hype to all those readers that becomes a avid fan of the Webtoon. I’d be honest, when I started reading it before its like for the first time I really hated the fact that I could only read up 40+ chapters. That’s why when I felt that I can’t wait anymore I decided to read the novel. Glad that it didn’t betray my expectation and the story its almost the same as from the webtoon. 

Characters: All characters in the novel/webtoon plays vital role to the development of the story such as they give the MC to grow, experienced different kind of emotions and you can also see the mc weigh the pro and cons of his action. I’m glad that the fact that there’s no annoying characters so far that challenge my patience. Well its not like the same shoujo fantasy genre that I’ve read where there’s a lot of annoying character. But for this one all character had to play their role paving the path for the MC. Its not like the GMs as well as the S-Class hunters overshadow the MC or the MC sometimes take their screen time. Its more like on the balance type. 

Speaking of another character like Cha Haein, Jinah, Jinho. I’m really glad that the author had created them it feels like the MC can still be human because of them. 

Plot: Speaking of the story set up, the fact that thee author had made it to resemble each countries as in real world prove that this also one of the factor that catches readers attention. Its like you’re saying your, “What ifs”. Like how awesome it was if being awakened exist or feelings of that sort. 

Though the sad part that readers also heard about the japan hate in the series and I don’t want to comment about it. 

Additionally, looking back how the MC who uses a system, from being the weakest one in the series down to being like a godly one in the end boost the popularity. The fact as well that each chapter of the manhwa/novel is something that you’ll have to wait. 

I always remember that fun part, if a cliffhanger ends the chapter another week of agony comes. Comment section would often flood because of it. Glad they keep the hype till the end as well as the fact that they never forget the romance department.

As the title speaks like “Solo Leveling” or “I Alone Level up”. Jinwoo’s summon are all awesome as well. The fact that he didn’t just turned anyone as his summon makes him a great character. 

Art: Studio,  REDICE STUDIO does the art of the webtoon. They really did great illustrating the characters, concept and set up of the story. When I was reading the novel my imagination just fills the part of what I want to read next in the webtoon. Glad that it never betray my expectation and the Webtoon is such of high quality. Anyone would drools at how Jinwoo so awesome! Just look as well how awesome Haein was.

Side Comments: I don’t have any problems for both novel/webtoon but if there’s a chance in the future and they decides to create the epilogue part. that would have been a dream come true. I mean they have created an open ended ending Chapter 179. Hope they added specials. I’m pretty sure readers would faints if the last remaining chapters get illustrated.
